The EHSCCP Training Modules are designed with a scope and sequence that supports the integration of information for staff in a meaningful way. The suite contains four modules and one Director Practicum. Modules are arranged by topics that build on each other with a natural flow of information.
Each training module contains a staff focused and a Director focused section. Staff and Director content includes all areas of the Head Start Performance Standards and activities are aligned with job responsibilities. Real world activities provide for discussion about the work in each participants unique center and planning for implementation.
Each training module and the Director Practicum provide training content that embeds the Head Start Performance Standards into real-world scenarios. Discussion opportunities, and workgroup planning times provide the partners with collaboration time to determine how program integration will occur seamlessly.
Workgroup tools are developed to track progress and facilitate discussions.
The Director Practicum is designed to discuss in-depth the responsibilities of the Director in light of the Head Start Performance Standards. Facilitated discussions are in collaboration with the Head Start partner to determine the amount of support, resources, and provisions may be needed to successfully empower the Director in the new partnership.
