Leadership capacity building

"Leadership is an action, not a position."

 Donald McGannon

The Art of Leadership

Leadership is an action, not a position.

What does that mean to you? Many leaders begin their careers doing the front-line work with children & families or in management roles in their programs. They are gifted teachers, caregivers, family services staff or management team members committed to positive outcomes for those they work with every day.

Frequently these dedicated staff are promoted to leaderships positions but may not know which actions will be most effective in their new role. Whether it is supporting a new leader, providing challenging professional development for experienced leaders, or collaborating with a team of leaders to move your programs goals forward, we can help.

Leadership consulting provides management teams with facilitated workshops, practical information, insights, and recommendations to ensure high quality service delivery to the children and families they serve. Based on conversations, site visits and reviews of current systems, a collaborative plan is developed with the leadership team to reach the goals and vision of the program and to ensure sustained implementation.
